CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS ADVOCATE

Become part of the advocacy service of this dynamic, expanding local charity. Kids Can Achieve is a registered charity currently based in Pinner and provides a variety of services, including Advocacy.

‘Your Voice, Your Choice’ is a dedicated advocacy service for children and young people involved with Harrow’s Children’s Services. We assist children and young people to have a voice and get practical help and support when trying to resolve issues.

Do you have the skills and experience to help people understand their rights and options and enable them to make informed choices and resolve disagreements effectively?

 

We are looking for a motivated person with a devoted interest in the rights of children and young people. Experience of Special Education Needs and wider education issues is preferred. Excellent administrative, including good record keeping and monitoring, skills are essential. As are proficient use of IT and being a driver with your own car.

 

You will need compassion, the ability to be impartial, and a passion to learn about, understand and develop a second-to-none service for the children and young people of

Harrow.

 

Working hours are 18 hours per week at £13 per hour. There will be some out of hours working required therefore flexibility is essential. Training will be given.

 

This post is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
